    Abel and Dawit

  • Thank you for choosing to partner with Abel and Dawit as they pursue their dream of attending The McCallie School for 11th and 12th grade. These exceptional young men have consistently demonstrated outstanding academic achievements and a strong commitment to education and community service. They have been accepted into McCallie, a prestigious institution located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Attending McCallie gives them an opportunity to nurture their talents and reach their full potential. While significant progress has been made to cover tuition with the generous support of McCallie, family, and friends, an additional $20,000 is necessary to cover flights, health insurance, laptops, clothing, and ongoing personal needs for 12 months.

Abel and Dawit were raised in the picturesque countryside of Ethiopia by their loving grandmother, who instilled in them deep Christian values and a profound appreciation for education. Recognizing their unwavering enthusiasm for learning, they relocated to Addis Ababa, the vibrant capital city of Ethiopia, to continue their primary and secondary education. Fifteen years ago, their brother, Wegene, who shares a similar background, was selected for an exchange program facilitated by Cherokee Investment Partners during his high school years. This opportunity opened doors for him, and with determination, hard work, and the unwavering support of a caring family and friends, he went on to attend The Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is now employed as an engineer at Apple. None of these achievements would have been possible without steadfast partnership from friends like you.

Your investment will not only enable Abel and Dawit to embark on this remarkable educational journey but also equip them with the necessary tools and resources to thrive. Your partnership in bridging the funding gap will ensure that Abel and Dawit have everything they need to flourish at McCallie.
